The Coalition for Auto Glass Safety & Public Awareness was founded in October 2003 by the National Glass Association (NGA) to promote public understanding of auto glass as a crucial safety component in the modern vehicle's safety restraint system, and, to assist consumers in locating safe, reliable auto glass replacement services.

CASPA Endorses:
  • Consumer awareness of auto glass safety;
  • Training of all auto glass technicians through NGA's Auto Glass Technical Institute or similar professional training programs;
  • Raising the auto glass replacement industry's level of professional competency through NGA Auto Glass Technician Certification;
  • Universal endorsement of the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS);
  • Completion of the NGA Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard;
  • Acceptance of NGA's Business Accreditation Program;
CASPA brings the auto glass replacement industry's resources to bear on the most ambitious public information campaign in the industry's 100 year history. That goal is to make 300 million Americans "Auto Glass Safety Aware". CASPA is supported entirely by contributions from its corporate "Sponsors" and individual auto glass shop "Patrons".
